Installation Process

Step-by-Step CNG Kit Fitting

  1. Preparation — Choose a certified kit suitable for your vehicle. Gather tools and components (CNG cylinder, regulator, injectors, etc.).
  2. Vehicle Preparation — Disconnect the battery. If converting from petrol/diesel, remove or adapt relevant fuel components as required.
  3. CNG Cylinder Installation — Select a compliant location (trunk/underbody). Securely mount with brackets, ensure alignment and proper ventilation.
  4. Installing the Regulator — Mount near the cylinder. Connect the high-pressure line from cylinder to regulator; tighten all fittings to prevent leaks.
  1. Fuel Line Installation — Route lines from regulator to engine; protect from heat and abrasion. Connect to injectors/mixer per kit type.
  2. Electrical Connections — Wire the fuel selector switch and other electronics. If the kit includes an ECU, connect as per manufacturer instructions.
  3. Testing for Leaks — Inspect all joints. Apply soapy water or a leak detection solution; ensure no bubbles form at any connection.
  4. Final Check — Reconnect the battery. Verify that all components are securely mounted and correctly positioned.
  1. System Testing — Start the engine and switch to CNG mode. Monitor for smooth operation, abnormal sounds, leaks, or performance issues.
  2. Documentation — Record installation details and any modifications. Obtain required certifications/inspections per local regulations.
